Armenia – Quindío

Known as the Miracle City of Colombia, it was founded on October 14 of 1889.
It is 296 km away from Bogota, 234 km from Medellín and 175 km from Cali. It has a temperature of 22°C and it is 1483 mts above sea level. Its beautiful nature and landscapes has turned this places into one of the most popular and famous places in Colombia.
In this place lived an exceptional tribe called The Quimbayas, which traditions, history and culture still remains.

CENTRO NACIONAL PARA EL ESTUDIO DEL BAMBU – GUADUA/ NATIONAL CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF BAMBOO – GUADUA

It is located aprox 30 kms away from Armenia and is where the scientific investigations about the Guadua take place.
